OLYMPUS XZ-1 REVIEW
This is a review of the Olympus XZ-1, one of the value for money products. Rounding up with a conclusion they talk about many pros such as a simple control system, charging via USB – while is convenient can be difficult if you require a charged backup battery, art filters for some more creative photo shots and a very handy lens range of 28-112mm. Following on from the pros with the cons the lens is slightly prone to flare in bright light, the video quality is not of the same standard as the stills, there is no easy access to white balance or ISO and the lack of ability to adjust the noise reduction level.
For those that are not familiar with the Olympus XZ-1 here is a quick roundup of its specs, which include a 720p video mode (offering 30 fps in jpeg format), a large 3inch OLED display, built in ND filter, micro HDMI connector and a CCD-shift image stabilization.
